Yagya's application kit

Everything the IGNOU form will ask you for, gathered in one place before you open it. Fill this at your own pace — then apply in one sitting without hunting for anything.

Where your answers go
  • This browser, automatically. Everything you type is saved on this device as you go, so you can close the page and come back. It is not sent anywhere by this step.
  • Uncle's server, only when you press Send. Section 8 sends your answers and the document files to a private folder he can read. It needs the passphrase he gave you, and it never happens on its own.

Documents you attach are held in memory only until you send them — if you reload the page you will need to pick the files again.

1 · Do these first — they block everything 0/6

The IGNOU portal will not let you finish without an APAAR ID, and distance-learning admission also needs a DEB ID, which is generated from the APAAR/ABC ID. Two IDs, in that order. Start today — this is where people get stuck, usually because the name spelling on Aadhaar does not match the 12th marksheet.

Required for ODL / distance admission
Never type this into any page that is not IGNOU's own or this one.
If Aadhaar spells it differently, fix that before applying — it stalls verification.
2 · Which programme 0/4

All of these need only 10+2 passed — no minimum percentage, no entrance test. Fees below were read off the July 2026 portal on 26 Aug 2026.

These were the ones listed for BBA. The portal shows the true list once you pick a programme.
The portal shows whether the soft-copy option carries a fee concession.

3 · Personal details 0/8

Copy these off your documents, not from memory — the form is checked against the certificates you upload.

Anything other than General needs a certificate uploaded
Your internship counts — keep the letter handy
4 · Your 12th (and 10th) 0/6

Take these straight off the marksheets. The 10th certificate is normally what proves your date of birth.

5 · Where post should reach you 0/5

If you chose printed books, this is where they physically arrive. Get it right.

6 · Your documents 0/7

Scan or photograph these from the originals. Pick each file below and this page will tell you straight away whether it is under IGNOU's size limit — an oversized file is rejected at upload, halfway through the application, which is where people lose an evening.

Once uploaded to IGNOU, the photo and signature become part of your official record and cannot be changed. Use a clean, recent passport photo on a white background.
7 · Paying, and what happens after 0/3

Payment by credit card (Visa/Master), debit card (Visa/Master/RuPay), net banking or UPI.

  1. Register on the portal — this creates your username and password, sent by SMS and email.
  2. Log back in and fill the form. It saves at the end of each stage, so a dropped connection only costs you the stage you were on.
  3. Upload the documents, tick the declaration, preview everything.
  4. Pay. A confirmation reaches you by SMS and email.
  5. Download the filled form and keep a printout. Note the control number.
  6. IGNOU scrutinises it and emails either a confirmation or a discrepancy notice — so watch that inbox for the next couple of weeks.
The registration fee is non-refundable. If you cancel after admission is confirmed, 15% of the programme fee is deducted, capped at Rs.2,000. Cancel before confirmation and the programme fee comes back.
8 · Send it to uncle

You do not have to finish first. Send whatever you have, whenever you have it — half the fields, one document, anything. Each send is kept separately, so a later one never overwrites an earlier one, and whatever is still missing is listed for him automatically. Nothing goes until you press the button.

Not saved on this device — type it each time you send.
